Water Sector Cyber Threat Web Briefing

26.10.22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Internet, United Kingdom

Martin Slack will be briefing WaterISAC: Lessons Learned from UK Critical Infrastructure Partners

Critical infrastructure in other countries face similar, if not nearly identical, cybersecurity threats. Yet every country’s approach to addressing the threats is somewhat different, and their experiences employing unique strategies and tactics can provide a trove of lessons learned and perspectives that benefit their peers in other countries.

For this month’s Cyber Threat Briefing, Head of ICS Martin Slack of Pen Test Partners will share perspectives on the lessons that have been observed in the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) sectors after a little over 4 years of being subject to the Networks & Information Systems (NIS) Directive. Martin will explain what the NIS Directive is, how it is applied in the UK, and how it is helping to drive improvement in the UK’s CNI OT cybersecurity.

Pen Test Partners is a UK-based cybersecurity firm that WaterISAC has worked with since 2019. Pen Test Partners joined WaterISAC for its November 2019 Cyber Threat Briefing, “Get into the Mind of a Hacker.” For that briefing, they shared their experiences hacking into and taking control of sensitive systems, including those involving OT. Don’t miss out on this next lesson learned sharing opportunity!
