Job description

This position is offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract, from 1 June 2026 until 31 May 2027, with a salary of up to £33,000. The role begins with a 12 week office-based training period in our Buckingham head office, followed by remote working for the remainder of the contract.

You will need at least one of the following:

  • A security accreditation such as OSCP, eJPT, PNPT
  • A suitable IT degree or equivalent academic experience
  • 1 or more years IT experience in a compliance, IT security advisory or an IT security role

You’ll be:

  • Reporting into the academy lead where you will be working through our academy training programme.
  • Delivering infrastructure and web application assessments with our established consultants.
  • Contributing towards tool building and sharing knowledge via our internal knowledge sharing hubs
  • Here are some examples of the services you may provide to clients:
  • Carrying out web application and infrastructure penetration tests, following our in-house methodologies and guides.
  • Presales calls to help determine requirements for testing
  • Debriefing clients on findings from engagements and providing on-going support

As this is an associate role, we will be working with you to develop your skills and understanding of tools to carry out penetration tests across web applications and infrastructure. We will be working to develop you into a security consultant who is able to deliver assessments independently and collaboratively.

During the first 12 weeks of the academy, you’ll be based in our head office in Buckingham for in-person training and support. After that, the role will move to remote working, though some onsite travel to client sites, including international travel, may be required once you are established. Although we are a remote working company, we pay for our teams to meet regularly throughout the year, holding local and company meet ups.
